Tetsuyousou: rilegatura giapponese a dorso scoperto

Info

During the Heian period, Japan saw the emergence of books bound in fascicles, which are elegant volumes used for poetry, Noh theater, and indigenous literature. This unique binding technique allows for a complete opening of the book, differing from Western bindings as it features no knots except for a central one. The workshop focuses on creating a tetsuyousou-style notebook with traditional open spine binding.
For those interested in making their own notebook cover, the workshop “Washi & Watoji: the Magic of Japanese Paper and Binding” on April 29 is a recommended option. Additionally, an introductory meeting entitled “Washi & Watoji: the Magic of Japanese Paper and Binding” is available for all and free of charge.

INFO: Recommended age: >14 years old.
