Is entry free? Yes, it is! However, any purchases made at the pop-up market, clothing swap, henna station, or repair café will incur a fee. Do attendees need to bring anything? Suggestions include clothes for swapping or upcycling, gently damaged items for repair, and garments for donation to the Africa Collect Textiles initiative. Can individuals without items to swap or donate attend? Definitely! Guests can still engage in the market, poetry showcase, henna, weaving, and other activities. Is advance registration necessary? Yes, pre-registration is encouraged for better planning, especially for certain limited activities like the weaving station. What kind of clothing can be swapped? Participants can bring clean, lightly used items in good condition. How does the repair café function? Attendees can bring their gently torn clothing, and the Tengeneza Café team will assist with basic repair techniques or fix them on-site. Are children welcome? Yes!
