Hospitality Hike - Vale of Edale Circular

Welcome to Freshwalks, in collaboration with Nell's and Kuits Solicitors, presenting the Hospitality Hike in 2025, focused on supporting the hospitality industry.

Participants can escape the rigors of the hospitality field and immerse themselves in the beautiful landscapes of the Peak District, providing an opportunity to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the fresh air.

The hike will be conducted at a leisurely pace, allowing everyone to take in the stunning views while engaging in meaningful conversations about shared challenges, fostering collaboration for the future.

Important Note: The hike is fully funded. Ticket prices cover a drink at the pub afterward, with surplus funds donated to The Christie Charity. A limited number of special tickets for suppliers in the media, breweries, and stock provision are also available.

Route Overview:

The circular route departs from Edale village, heading towards the summit at Mam Tor. At the peak, participants can enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views over the Vale of Edale and the surrounding area.

The group will continue along the picturesque ridge, descending past Hollins Cross and Back Tor before ascending to Lose Hill for a brief lunch break.

After lunch, the route descends into the Hope Valley, where the group will follow an ancient Roman road leading to Hope Cross before looping back via Jagger’s Clough to Edale.

Public Transport: Participants are encouraged to arrive by train. The recommended train departs from Manchester Piccadilly at 08:48, arriving in Edale at 09:32.

Toilets: Public restrooms available at the start of the hike, but none along the route.
