The unique initiative focused on Reuse that centers on People rather than Things!
Before signing up, read all the information to understand Who they are, What they Do, and What it means to become a Squirrel!
HOW TO BECOME A SQUIRREL?
To participate in their initiatives, one must become a member of Scoiattoli in Città Aps, their non-profit association.
At the first event, participants will support the initiative with a donation of 20 euros per year during check-in at the volunteer desk.
PARTICIPATION FEE: EACH DATE HAS ITS OWN
Whenever participating as a Stand, prior booking is required.
Participants choose the date(s) they wish to attend freely through online registration
The contribution of 15 euros is for organizational purposes: each Squirrel supports the planning, coordination, and management of the events they participate in.
There are no other methods of registration or payment.
Once available spots are filled, a waiting list activates that only requires registration.
Please read the absence policy and procedures in case of rain.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
This initiative supports a non-profit association that fulfills the legal obligations required by the Third Sector, covering all registration, management, and organizational costs.
Their activities are funded by voluntary contributions, membership fees, donations, and self-financing.
Those participating as a Stand are Squirrels who, as Active Citizens, support the initiative through their economic contribution.
Participants come to experience the project consciously!
Since 2016, the Little Market Project has promoted sustainability and Active Citizenship through small community markets.
Individuals without a VAT number can participate by registering as a Stand.
The initiatives are organized by Scoiattoli in Città Aps, in collaboration with various local entities and with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Modena.
It means being part of the project, believing in its associative values, pursuing its goals while respecting the rules, and contributing financially to its sustainability.
At the first event, participants will be registered, pay 20 euros to the association, and become a Squirrel.
From that point forward, they can participate in all association activities and/or volunteer services within the association.

Registration is required for participation.
Click the button on this page to provide participant details. Please note: the PARTICIPANT and the PAYEE can be different people.
It is essential to get this step right as, like booking a flight, they verify the "passenger" details, not who pays!
- The PARTICIPANT is the person physically present behind the Stand and will be considered a Squirrel (accompanying persons are welcome and do not need to register).
- Double bookings under the same name are not permitted since no one can have two stands.
- If needed, they can help participants set up next to someone they prefer if conditions allow.
- There’s no need to print anything unless the participant wants to review the details again, as their registration is received directly, and attendance will be recorded that morning.
At their events, no specific stalls are assigned, as everyone shares the same space depending on the venue.
In the parking lot of the C/C La Rotonda, they have a space of about 3x3 meters.
Thanks to the parking availability, they ensure 95% of parking spots are accessible.
Vehicles should not exceed 4.5 meters in length; otherwise, they will be considered vans and cannot be left behind the stand.
Each participant sets up using whatever they have (wood/plastic/aluminum tables...) without excessive investment.
Every Stand has a designated space of 3 x 3 meters, depending on the venue, whether indoors or outdoors.
The Project's nature is Social Promotion, hence everyone has equal opportunities.

Note: this information may change and will be communicated via email.
- COORDINATORS will be on-site one hour before to organize everything.
They will set up their Stand first to assist others; do not be surprised if you see some Stands already prepared.
Be sure to comply with the rules you will receive by email regarding your schedule:
- Park in designated spaces
- Turn off engines
- Keep voices down
Being in residential neighborhoods on Sunday mornings, let’s maintain a strong Civic Sense.
____________________________________________________________
If for any reason you've registered but find you can't attend, you can find someone to take your place before Thursday prior and communicate this via email.
CHANGING TICKETS IS FREE only until the Thursday before the event as emails go out to participants on Friday and the list closes.
LAST MINUTE ABSENCE OR RAIN
The contribution each participant pays covers organizational costs regardless of weather conditions.
For this reason, that contribution is non-refundable.

SALES RULES
It is exactly for the opposite reason; after, you may not have time to walk around.

MORAL AND DEMOCRATIC RULES TO KEEP IN MIND
This project seeks to convey values, and adherence is essential; those who do not comply will be removed from the organization without refund.
-------------------------------------
Participants must be adults residing or living in Modena and surrounding areas, eager to actively engage in a Social Promotion Project.
Setup begins about an hour before the public opening.
The exact check-in time will be communicated a few days prior to the event.
Since locations may vary, it is advisable to read details each time as conditions might change.
WHEN DOES THE BUY-SELL START?
If public opening is from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, selling is permitted only from 9:00 AM onwards.
No selling or exchanging with Visitors is allowed before 9 AM; it is a matter of respecting setup time for all.
Participants leave only at the advertised end time unless it’s busy, in which case you wait.
CAN I REGISTER ON SITE?
Absolutely NOT!
Spots are limited; registrations must be made online in advance.
If spaces are filled, a waiting list becomes available for those who can sign up.
If spots open due to last-minute absences, contact will be made via email.
CAN I PAY THE FEE IN CASH OR OTHER WAYS?
No! Payments must utilize accepted methods outlined for registration.
Any second-hand item in good condition that is reusable is acceptable: decorative items, books, toys, clothing, accessories, small appliances, furniture, bikes, etc...
Clothing must not exceed 30% of the stand. This rule is strict.
WHAT IF I HAVE NEW ITEMS?
Everyone has an item that is new and unused; in the context of second-hand items, it makes sense to include it. This doesn’t mean new items cannot be sold, but only a maximum of 10% is allowed.
It depends on the location, which will be specified at each instance.
In the case of La Rotonda's parking area, vehicles can remain behind as long as they do not exceed 4.5 meters in length.
I HAVE A VAN; WHAT CAN I DO?
Only five spots allow stands without vehicles behind them, reserved for vans.
If no van requests come in, that space is allocated for those who want to set up a gazebo.
ECOLOGICAL CHOICES
After registration, email them with your van or gazebo intent (or both).
They will arrange beforehand to avoid surprises on-site.
In the absence of requests, the spots will be allocated randomly among participants, with due regard to health concerns.
Check-in will benefit from participants’ cooperation by those with no physical issues.
The Staff manages the logistics based on Sustainability, not individual preference.
No need to print your registration; they handle the list for check-in!
NB: It is recommended to sign up within the first 48 hours of registration opening to secure your spot.
Registrations open two weeks prior to better manage the organization of the initiative.
