The Rock Infused Orchestra is a musical ensemble that blends the raw energy of rock music with the sophistication of string instruments and orchestral arrangements. This year's tour in Spain features over 140 young musicians playing violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, and percussion.

Founded in 1999 by Andrew Hutchinson, who hails from Oshkosh, WI, RIO was born from a passion for music education and the desire to create an innovative sound that appeals to a diverse audience, merging genres in a way that captivates both rock fans and classical music lovers. Initially, the ensemble started with just 5 members who practiced in a small backroom of a local music store and performed small community concerts. Since then, the group has expanded significantly.

The orchestra's repertoire features a unique selection of rock classics reimagined for orchestral performance, showcasing the versatility of the musicians on stage. In addition to performing well-known rock hits, the orchestra collaborates with professional musicians, producers, and composers, pushing the boundaries of traditional orchestral music.
