The renowned Mexican author Fabio Morábito reveals the behind-the-scenes process of his stories "The Sailboat" from his book Madres y perros and "The Tourist" from Lenta furia. Participants will explore the secrets of his writing process, including the decisions, diversions, and revisions involved.

BIOGRAPHY
Fabio Morábito was born in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1955. He is a storyteller, poet, and translator. The son of Italian parents, he spent his childhood in Milan and has lived in Mexico since the age of fifteen. He has authored Lotes baldíos (1985), De lunes todo el año (1992), and Alguien de lava (2002) in poetry, as well as two essay books, El viaje y la enfermedad (1984) and Los pastores sin ovejas (1995). Caja de herramientas (1989) blends both essay and prose poetry. In narrative, besides La vida ordenada (2000), he has published the short story collections La lenta furia (1989, reissued by Eterna Cadencia in 2009), Berlín se olvida (2004), and Grieta de fatiga (2006, 2010, Eterna Cadencia), as well as the novel Emilio, los chistes y la muerte (2009) and a children's book, Cuando las panteras no eran negras (1996). Several of his works have been translated into German, French, English, Italian, and Portuguese.
