This retreat features Tasha Schumann and Jeff Warren, distinguished writers and meditation instructors, who are transforming their online platform, known as the Mind Bod Adventure Pod, into an engaging in-person gathering dedicated to community meditation. The theme revolves around the fascinating realm of "practice," which encompasses various activities that can enhance understanding, growth, and healing for individuals.
The essence of practice lies in its potential to either enhance one's environment or fundamentally alter it, leading to greater freedom and spontaneity. Participants will delve into three foundational pillars derived from Buddhist techniques: establishing stability, fostering expression, and perceiving the interconnectedness of reality directly.
Open to all, this gathering invites individuals from seasoned meditators to those just beginning their journey, requiring only a curious mind and a gentle heart. The day promises a blend of depth, exploration, and community, all infused with humor.
This retreat serves as an insightful preview of the upcoming 5-day residential Mind Bod Adventure Squad retreat scheduled for June 2025 at the Omega Center. It will be hosted in person at Toronto's Friends House (60 Lowther Ave, just north of St George Subway Station) and will feature an option for virtual attendance via Zoom. The retreat will be offered on a "pay what you're able to" basis, accommodating a wide range of incomes, with proceeds supporting the mission of making meditation and personal growth enjoyable and accessible to everyone.
