[About Chinese Dance Fiesta 2025]

The Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre (SCDT) presents the highly anticipated Chinese Dance Fiesta 2025, a spectacular tribute to Chinese culture via the medium of dance.

Running from 20 April to 3 May 2025, this landmark tenth edition showcases eight public performances featuring exceptional dancers from various academic institutions, community dance groups, and professional companies throughout Singapore. The audience can anticipate an engaging mix of both traditional and modern Chinese dance styles during these performances, which will occur at several iconic venues, including the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre at the Esplanade, Kreta Ayer Square, and more.

Furthermore, the Chinese Dance Fiesta serves as a dynamic platform for educational and cultural interchange. This year, SCDT collaborates with MUZI XIHUA to feature Ms. Li Qian, a prominent lecturer from Northwest Minzu University in China, as the special guest for the Master Series. She will be conducting two public talk and demonstration sessions, alongside exclusive workshops for both dance aficionados and seasoned practitioners.

[About the Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre]

Established in 2014 as a professional dance company, the Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre is dedicated to promoting Chinese dance through exceptional artistry and nurturing young talent. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Madam Neo Jenny, SCDT aspires to be a leading institution for Chinese dance, actively shaping and enriching the narrative of Chinese dance in Singapore and internationally.

Acknowledged for its lasting contributions to the local arts scene, the company continues to benefit from the support of the National Arts Council.

SCDT is committed to creating original performances that resonate with traditional roots while making Chinese dance an accessible art form for the community through its Outreach and Education initiatives. It has been registered as a charity since 2015.
