This is a site-specific performance featuring Silvia Calderoni along with surprise guests, designed to inhabit the spaces of the exhibition FUTURE IN THE PAST, which opened at the Museum of the City on March 15. The exhibition is dedicated to the new Motus Digital Archive, compiling materials from 35 years of theatrical adventures. It is referred to as an atlas-exhibition that, from the viscosity of the past, nourishes the future, and is organized in a surprising non-chronological path through the museum's new wing. The transition from one room to another occurs via a corridor/tunnel of words that evoke the ghostly voices of the many actors who have traversed the stages of Motus, creating a nebulous memory where the boundaries, beginnings, and ends of each individual performance lose meaning, as everything forms part of a singular, monumental work spanning 35 years.
In relation to this fluid positioning that transforms the exhibition into an autonomous art object, Silvia Calderoni will inhabit the space, presenting a dadaistic and furious reading with a kaleidoscopic dramaturgy: a journey through time and space, reenacting fragments from the various scripts and directorial notebooks on display, as if gliding on her iconic roller skates or driving Pasolini's car, which is showcased in the museum garden.
