Irene Chamorro embarked on her percussion studies in Madrid and completed them at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid (RCSMM), graduating with honors in her final recital.

She has collaborated with various orchestras and bands including the Madrid Brass Band, the Classical Orchestra of Santa Cecilia, and the Royal Film Concert Orchestra (RFCO), showcasing her talent as a soloist in the performance of Paul Creston’s "Concertino for Marimba and Orchestra" with the La Lira de Pozuelo Concert Band in 2019.

Irene has also participated in musicals, notably "Franciscus: A Reason to Live," and has contributed to the soundtracks of films and series such as the Netflix film "Tras la pared" and an orchestral version of "Dreamers" by ELYELLA, collaborating with the Mad4strings orchestra.

She is currently the drum and cajón instructor at the Musikum School.

For the Little Grande Festival, Irene has prepared an exciting repertoire that will delve into the captivating realm of percussion, featuring both familiar instruments (like the marimba, which will take center stage at Musikum) and some less common ones.

As this is a close-proximity concert, some percussion instruments may be heard at a high volume.

Where is the concert taking place? The concert is held in the auditorium of the Musikum School (Las Matas - Madrid). Is there a bar or restaurant? Is it possible to eat or drink during the performance? No. Since it is a music school, eating, drinking, or smoking is not permitted on the premises. However, there are nearby restaurants and bars. Is it wheelchair accessible? Unfortunately, no. The school is located on the first floor of a building, and the only access is via a staircase.
