About the Festival

The North Shore Writers Festival is brought to the community through a collaboration between the North Vancouver City Library, North Vancouver District Public Library, and West Vancouver Memorial Library.

The Festival relies heavily on the support from the Friends of the Library groups from each library, along with contributions from the North Shore Writers’ Association, KidsBooks, and the North Shore News.

Taking place on the ancestral lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, the Festival honors the rich tradition of storytelling vital to the cultural heritage of the Coast Salish Peoples.
