Language acquisition is a fascinating but intricate area of early childhood development that raises many questions for parents. These include when a child will begin to speak, how to navigate a multilingual setting, and the best methods to encourage and support their language growth, particularly if any delays occur.
To address these inquiries, the Health Directorate's audiophonological service is hosting an informative session led by two speech and language therapists.
During this session, the therapists will outline the normal phases of language development and provide practical strategies for parents to enhance it. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with fellow parents and pose specific questions after the presentation.
If the sessions are fully booked or the scheduled dates are inconvenient, individuals are encouraged to monitor for updates, as new sessions are frequently added. Additionally, local Language Info Sessions are available at the Eltereforum, where interested parties can visit their website for more information.
For convenience, there is a free visitor parking area located to the left of the building, although spaces are limited. For those relying on public transportation, bus routes 9, 15, 25, and 27 stop at ‘Bitbourg’, which is just a one-minute walk from the location.
