Nicolò Govoni presents "Still I Rise" along with future projects. The event features music from The Nomad Brothers, a duo comprised of renowned Indian Maestro Rashmi Bhatt and Kora Hero, a prominent Gambian musician.
Admission is free with a voluntary donation.
Kora Hero, the stage name of Alieu Saho, showcases a deep and resonant voice, accompanied by the kora—an instrument resembling a lute-harp with 21 strings. This unique instrument, which blends the qualities of both lutes and harps, produces intricate sounds that connect with the essence of humanity. The kora is traditionally found among the Mandinka people and is often associated with griots of West Africa, particularly in countries like Mali, Guinea, Senegal, and Gambia. The instrument, often played by Alieu, serves as a powerful cultural symbol.
