Renowned author Ruth Reichl will be present to share insights about her latest book, The Paris Novel, which offers a captivating journey through the culinary, artistic, and fashionable landscapes of Paris in the 1980s.

Following the passing of her estranged mother, Stella receives an unexpected legacy: a one-way ticket to Paris along with a note instructing her to "Go to Paris." Her adventure begins at the famous brasserie Les Deux Magots, where she tries her first oysters and encounters an elderly art collector who mentors her. Under his guidance, Stella is immersed in the vibrant literary, artistic, and culinary scenes of 1980s Paris, leading her to contemplate a life filled with greater possibilities.

A sensory delight, The Paris Novel serves as a celebration of savoring life, taking risks, and discovering one’s true sense of belonging.

A question-and-answer session along with a book signing will follow the discussion. Books will be available for purchase.

Johanna Schneller will engage in conversation with Ruth Reichl.
