The 13th annual Africa Evidence Summit will take place in Nairobi, Kenya from June 23-24, 2025. This summit serves as a vital platform for East and West African scholars, global higher education faculty, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss and share the latest findings on economic development and poverty alleviation across the continent. It focuses on empowering African scholars, fostering new partnerships, and creating innovative strategies for incorporating evidence into policymaking.
The summit is co-hosted by the Network of Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA), which promotes decision-oriented impact evaluations for development initiatives, and the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA), affiliated with the University of California, Berkeley, focused on producing research that informs decisions aimed at alleviating global poverty.
The attendance for the summit is limited to in-person participants, and those who register before June 1st will receive priority admission.
This is a face-to-face gathering in Nairobi, and currently, there is no travel funding or support available from the organizers. Attendees will need to manage their own travel and accommodation expenses.
