Risen Experience 2025

The Risen Experience is a captivating event featuring over 900 volunteers, including students from Forest Lake Academy and members of the Greater Orlando Seventh-Day Adventist churches. This immersive presentation dramatizes the final days of Jesus on Earth through an engaging 2-mile walk across the campuses of the Forest Lake Church and Forest Lake Academy.

Participants will walk through a replica of the Jerusalem Marketplace, interacting with shopkeepers, encountering live animals, and experiencing the sights and smells of daily life during biblical times. They will witness key moments such as Jesus’ triumphal entry, the foot washing ceremony with his disciples, the trial, the crowd’s demand for crucifixion, and ultimately, the celebration of His resurrection.

The experience takes place outdoors, leading participants from the Forest Lake Seventh-Day Adventist Church to the Forest Lake Academy campus. Along the route, various scenes from Jesus’ life are portrayed. There will be shaded areas, restrooms, and water stations available to ensure comfort. The entire journey lasts approximately 2.5 hours, with extra time needed for parking at the beginning and after the event concludes.

Attendees are advised to wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats, while umbrellas are not permitted. Parking is provided at the Forest Lake Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located at 515 Harley Lester Lane, Apopka, Florida 32703.
