On Tuesday, March 18th, registrations for the compost giveaway will open at 10 am. If all time slots are filled, additional bookings will not be accepted to ensure fairness to all residents. Only one registration per household is allowed across the three Spring crops.
To collect compost, participants must:
1. Complete a single online registration for their household located in the Canterbury-Bankstown region.
2. Display a printed or digital confirmation of registration along with a proof of residency. Acceptable documents include driver's licenses, utility bills, or any current residency proof that matches the address on the ticket.
3. Arrive during the designated one-hour time slot to obtain the compost.
Without the proper registration, participants will not be allowed to collect compost.
Each vehicle can only collect a maximum of 4 bags, unless collecting on behalf of qualifying pensioners or individuals with disabilities, as outlined in the conditions below.
To discover how Wheelie Good compost is produced, check out this informative video created by Soil Co, the garden waste processor. Keeping large stumps and plastic bags out of green bins is crucial for reducing compost contamination. Proper use of green bins enhances compost production efficiency.
Can someone collect compost on my behalf?
Individuals can pick up compost for pensioners or those holding specific cards living at a different address, provided they present the corresponding card and a ticket with matching addresses. The limit of one ticket per household still applies, and separate tickets are required for each allocation.
For individuals picking up for someone who does not meet these requirements, they must return to the end of the line with the relevant ticket and proof of residency.
What if multiple registrations exist for my address?
If more than one registration is made for a household, only the first will be valid while subsequent ones will be canceled. Separate registrations must be made if there are multiple residences, along with proof for each address. After collecting 4 bags, individuals must return to the line unless they are picking up for a pensioner or someone with a disability.
The giveaway is exclusively for residents of the City of Canterbury Bankstown. Registrations from outside this area will be canceled. The venue will open at 7 am on the giveaway day and close at 11 am sharp. Attendance is required within the allotted one-hour collection period. Early arrival may disrupt local traffic.
Participants must bring their registration confirmation and proof of residency to collect compost. Each household can collect up to 4 bags of compost during their designated time slot, and only one registration is permitted across the three Spring events.
If unable to attend, individuals should cancel their registration 48 hours prior to the giveaway to prevent restrictions on future bookings. Further ticket releases will occur as duplicate registrations are canceled.
