Shared Futures Dialogue:

Exploring Climate and Energy Diplomacy Narratives for Europe and Africa within the G20 Framework

You are invited to a high-level, one-day Shared Futures Dialogue focusing on “Exploring Climate and Energy Diplomacy Narratives for Europe and Africa within the G20 Framework”, organized by the Futures Programmes at the South African Institute of International Affairs, the Institute for Security Studies, and the Clingendael Netherlands Institute of International Relations.

The gathering will assemble government officials from South Africa’s DIRCO, DMRE, and DFFE, in addition to representatives from the Netherlands government supported by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy in South Africa. The Dialogue has been made possible through the generous support of the government of the Netherlands.

The intention of this dialogue is to promote collaboration, align different priorities, and collaboratively formulate actionable strategies aimed at achieving sustainable energy transitions and enhancing climate resilience that align with the African agenda at the G20.
