The medieval village of Pontremoli, recognized as one of the most beautiful in Italy, is set to host the XIV edition of a unique gastronomic experience.
The event, named Tour Day, reflects its spirit through the local dialect interpretation: turdèi, referring to tortelli.
This gastronomic journey offers a series of tasting stops featuring the exquisite flavors of Lunigiana's cuisine. However, it's more than just a culinary tour; it is a journey of rediscovering traditions that seemed lost. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore charming osterias, shops, bars, and trattorias, all authentically unique. They will meet operators with fascinating stories and rich curiosities, as well as encounter true Pontremoli locals and real travelers.
This “journey” is what is known as gastronomic socialization, promising to be an unforgettable experience.
Joining in is easy! Just head to Piazza della Repubblica in Pontremoli on Saturday, May 17, and/or Sunday, May 18, 2025.
At the stand, visitors can collect a special passport free of charge, which includes 22 stops. Each stop represents a venue and its culinary offering, conveniently located within walking distance in the historic center of Pontremoli.
Participants can choose how many stops to visit (with a cost ranging from 1 to 5 euros per stop), and each completed stop earns a stamp in their passport.
Those bold enough to complete all 22 stops will be honored as Iron Tour Day participants, and every attendee will receive a memorable keepsake from the journey.
