Organ concert in the Basilica

The St. Stephen’s Basilica, renowned as Hungary's most iconic church, stands as a prominent tourist attraction and ranks as the third tallest building in the nation. The concert within this architectural marvel features a program curated by Miklos Teleki, celebrated as one of Hungary’s top organists. Notable concert and oratorio singer Kolos Kováts lends his voice to the arias, with a performance lasting 70 minutes without any intermission.

Kováts, recognized for his incredible talent, has received prestigious awards such as the Liszt Ferenc prize, Merit of Art, and the Kossuth Prize.

Additionally, the concert will showcase flute performances by Eleonóra Krusic, an accomplished musician who has played extensively in Hungary and internationally in recent years.

  • Johann Sebastian Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV 565

For those seeking an extraordinary experience, a VIP option offers the best seating during the concert along with a guided tour revealing secrets and legends of the basilica's architecture. This 45-minute exclusive tour allows guests to explore the historical site, visit the dome for breathtaking city views, and see St. Stephen’s mummified right hand in its chapel. Participants will also admire architectural and sculptural details, along with stunning glass mosaics throughout the basilica.
