Ongoing conflicts in places like Ukraine, Gaza, and Sudan have further complicated the landscape. The focus is now on understanding the repercussions of these occurrences on populations and international dynamics, while also envisioning future development pathways. There is a critical need to investigate the associated issues to generate opportunities for improving human welfare. ICMD 2024 aims to be a vital forum for dialogue on these topics.
