Her research is centered on integrating social sciences with medicine, emphasizing the humane and traditional elements of healthcare while leveraging modern science and technology to enhance health outcomes and alleviate suffering.
Healthcare in the Digital Age: A New Era of Inequality?
The advent of digital tools in healthcare promises greater efficiency and accessibility. However, this evolution does not necessarily benefit everyone equally. While technology is perceived to enhance healthcare, it simultaneously introduces new obstacles, particularly for individuals lacking digital skills and resources. This lecture will analyze how the digital transformation in healthcare contributes to growing health disparities and advocate for a reevaluation of digital accessibility strategies, focusing on addressing underlying structural and societal challenges rather than relying exclusively on technological solutions.
