IWIRC (London) is organizing a special session featuring Anna Allerton from Allerton Coaching. As an Executive Coach, Anna focuses on empowering women to navigate their careers while managing the challenges of menopause. During this session, she will shed light on the significance of menopause's impact in professional settings and share strategies based on her journey as a former journalist and TV Producer. This gathering is aimed at women who are currently facing or will face menopause in their careers, along with their supporters. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect over drinks and canapes afterwards.
With a successful background as a Journalist and TV Producer, Anna has made notable contributions to women's sports journalism during her 17 years at Sky. She was recognized in Management Today’s 35 Under 35 list and has served as a Non-Executive Director in sports governance. Anna established and produced the Sportswomen programme and led the Special Journalism Unit at Sky Sports News, effectively influencing the representation of women in sports both on-screen and in editorial roles. Her personal experiences with challenging perimenopause symptoms during her return from maternity leave propelled her to investigate the lack of support and understanding for women in the workplace. This motivated Anna to leave her long-standing career and pursue training to become a certified executive coach, eventually founding Allerton Consulting, where she aims to advocate for women in the professional sphere.
