Quality over Quantity // Why Better Alternatives Are Available
The predominant choice for digital cameras is still sRGB. But is this still relevant?
Most online print service providers and major photo book manufacturers primarily use RGB for printing. Photographers who utilize professional cameras and high-quality lenses lose color detail when using sRGB, as it limits the potential output captured by the sensor. Although monitors can display these colors accurately, they are diminished when assigned to the sRGB color space. As a result, the prints often fail to reflect the vibrancy seen in nature, leading to photographer dissatisfaction with the final output. To explore alternatives to the sRGB workflow and address any related questions, a seminar is scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 6 PM.
Target Audience:
Photographers and dedicated amateurs.
