"One of the most beautifully euphoric live experiences" BBC World Review

‘Softly spoken off stage and complete lunatics on it, Kíla have torn up the rulebook with their wantonly eclectic mix of styles, Brilliant! Hot Press

“Whatever it is... this is it. Kíla are right there at the cusp of it... Somehow you get the feeling they lit the fuse for the big bang.” Bono

Kíla had an active period before the pandemic, performing at Folk Alliance in New Orleans and preparing for festivals in Paris, London, Dublin, and Kilkenny, which were canceled due to the Covid-19 outbreak. They received recognition by winning an IFTA for Best Original Score for the film Arracht, which represented Ireland in the Oscars' foreign language category. Their collaboration with composer Bruno Coulais on the animated film Wolfwalkers garnered awards and an Annie nomination for best music. To adapt to the lockdown, they recorded six concerts, culminating in a special Wolfwalkers concert broadcasted online and shared at various Irish ambassadorial locations and Lá ‘le Pádraig celebrations worldwide.
