Rethinking Migration: Every Person on the Move a Changemaker

Info

The discourse surrounding migration has become a central theme amidst societal polarization, often characterized as an overwhelming challenge where migrants are perceived as mere subjects of empathy or trepidation. However, this perspective overlooks the potential of migration as a catalyst for positive societal change. Social innovation reveals that migration embodies invaluable innovations and insights that can advance participation and democracy within communities.

Vienna serves as the inaugural city for the Hello Europe Tour, featuring prominent social entrepreneurs and migration leaders who will share transformative insights aimed at reshaping the current narrative concerning migration and the dynamics of movement.

In this collaborative dialogue, co-hosted by Hello Europe, Ashoka’s Migration Initiative, and Forum Razumovsky, the intention is to present tangible examples and frameworks that encourage a renewed perception of migration. It emphasizes the active roles of migrants and the communities that welcome them as essential agents of change dedicated to collective wellbeing.
