The Basic Automation Certification Test is recommended for high school teachers, ITS Academy instructors, and university faculty.
To participate in the Basic Automation Test, candidates must meet the following prerequisites:
- automation logic
- basic electrical engineering
- configuration and setup of online devices and diagnostics
- basic programming with TIA Portal
- fundamentals of HMI panel programming
- basics of industrial networks
Instructors who successfully pass the test will receive a certificate of competence in the use and programming of Siemens industrial controllers and will become certified Siemens SCE Trainers eligible to manage courses for students as part of the Siemens SCE Certification Program.
The certification for instructors is valid for three years. It can be renewed automatically by completing at least one training course related to the latest certification achieved, in agreement with Siemens SCE, before expiration.
