MBS Education for General Practice

In 2025, a team of 11 MBS Education Experts will conduct a series of engaging workshops, both in-person and online, focusing on MBS compliance and billing over two days. This initiative is aimed at improving healthcare quality, affordability, and accessibility for patients while promoting the well-being and financial sustainability of healthcare practitioners.

The workshops cater to both new and experienced general practitioners, providing critical insights into maintaining Medicare compliance, enhancing earnings, and encouraging collaboration among multidisciplinary teams. The program for 2025 will feature pre-recorded videos illustrating the practical use of combination billing with real-life scenarios. Attendees will also benefit from the introduction of AI technology to improve their documentation and coding during consultations.

Practice managers and owners are encouraged to attend, recognizing their vital role in aiding clinicians throughout the Medicare billing journey.

Day 1: Registrations open at 0745hrs; Workshop runs from 0830 to 1700 hrs

Day 2: Commences at 0830 to 1630hrs

The hardcopy MBS book for General Practice can be pre-purchased for $66 and will be available for collection during the workshops. The Kobo eBook is also sold for $44 via the app.

All participants will receive slides, notes, and other materials through a Dropbox link after the workshops.

Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon snacks will be offered on both days. Any dietary requirements must be communicated at least 14 days in advance.

Dr. Zoe Sumra is a UK-trained GP with expertise recognized across Australia.
