Uniting people through rhythm, Afro Trance Dance™️ emphasizes African electronic dance music alongside global influences. This event serves as a reminder of shared origins from Africa, featuring genres like Afro House, Amapiano, Gqom, and more, all blended with Techno, Drum & Bass, and Ambient music.


~Our Intention~

This dance movement is rooted in the respect and celebration of diverse communities, taking steps to acknowledge historical and contemporary struggles. By focusing on inclusivity and contribution to aligned charities and organizations, this event aims to foster community and uplift marginalized voices.

The goal is to create a collective space that encourages transformation and unity, inviting everyone to join in a community-focused experience that strengthens interconnection.


~What To Expect~

Afro Trance Dance™️ features an inclusive atmosphere with ritual elements like opening and closing circles, barefoot dancing, and a no-phones policy to promote connection and presence.


~Schedule of Activities~

10.15am-10.55am Arrivals (Participants can choose between a silent Dance Space or a Connection Space to mingle)

11am Opening Circle & Guided Somatic Practice (Please arrive on time to participate)

11.15am The Dance

12.50pm Closing Circle

1pm-2pm (Choice of 2 spaces) - A Connection Space for conversation or an Integration Space for deeper reflection with resources provided


The Opening

A guided practice designed to release tension and promote a deep sense of reflection, encouraging participants to engage in free-flow movement.

The Dance

A 60-90 minute session featuring African rhythms and soulful beats, guiding participants through a transformative musical experience that fosters a feeling of transcendence and unity.

The Closing

An opportunity to ground oneself after the journey, reflecting on the shared experiences and unity felt during the dance.
