The Uppsala municipality, in collaboration with Ngenic, invites participants to a national conference focused on energy communities. Throughout the day, stakeholders from various sectors of the energy industry, including energy communities, network operators, municipalities, property owners, politics, technology, and other interested parties, will come together to explore how energy communities can accelerate the electrification of society.

This conference presents a unique opportunity to grasp the essential role that energy communities play in the future energy system. Insights will be shared on how they can facilitate the transition to renewable energy, encourage civic engagement, and enhance the capabilities of small businesses and municipalities to proactively address challenges ranging from energy demand to climate threats.

During the conference, participants will:

Share experiences from established energy communities and their journey towards sustainable solutions.
Present concrete examples of how citizens, businesses, and municipalities can cooperate to achieve sustainable energy goals.
Discuss barriers and opportunities related to energy communities, addressing policy issues and technical solutions.
Network with leading figures in the energy sector and explore new collaborations.

Engage in political discussions with responsible members of parliament.

Due to limited availability, those who have participated in previous national dialogues will have priority for reserving their spots. These dialogues aim to spread knowledge and inspiration about the role of energy communities in a sustainable society. Both the dialogues and the conference are part of the EU project MASTERPIECE.
