Objective
The search for a personal style is one of the greatest challenges for a new illustrator. This course will guide participants to create and develop a unique and high-quality style through practical exercises, varied techniques, and a deep understanding of illustration styles, from traditional to the latest trends. Participants will explore two fundamental manual techniques: ink with watercolor and printing/engraving with alternative materials.
Today, illustration offers a wide range of professional opportunities and has become a primary source of income for many artists. This is an opportunity to discover creative potential and enhance professional careers.
Participants
This workshop is designed for anyone interested in drawing and illustration, regardless of their experience level. All necessary materials will be included.

Mónica Andino is an illustrator, graphic designer, and art educator originally from Honduras and currently living in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. She received a grant from the Arts Fund of the National Association of Latin Arts and Cultures based in San Antonio, TX, USA in 2019. Mónica was a finalist in the Illustrator Exhibition at the Bologna Children's Book Fair in 2023 and was selected twice for the Ibero-American Illustration Catalogue in 2018 and 2022. She has independently worked for over ten years on many wonderful projects with clients from around the world. Selected clients include Airbnb, Amnesty International, Mondadori, Quarto Group, Scholastic, the United Nations, and Unicef.
