Meeting & Book Signing with Jérôme Soligny 🤘
Jérôme Soligny will be hosting a discussion led by Rock&Folk journalist Isabelle Chelley, where he will present two of his books, Rainbow + and Intrépide.
In Rainbow +, Soligny includes an extensive chapter titled Bonus Apparents, featuring various chronicles and articles he penned about David Bowie for Rock&Folk from 1986 to 2024. The book also features exclusive interviews with those who collaborated with the artist, including previously unpublished statements from Bowie himself.
In Intrépide, Soligny provides a remarkable translation of Chrissie Hynde's autobiography. It recounts her emergence in the rock scene at the beginning of 1980, amidst iconic bands like The Police and Blondie. With her band, The Pretenders, Hynde showcases a powerful live performance and her visceral rock sound resonates superbly on air. With brutal honesty and sharp humor, she narrates her journey through the punk era, marking a rare female perspective on that period.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in this engaging discussion and receive signed copies of their books!
Join us on Saturday, January 11th at 5:30 PM at Gibert Disc, 34 Boulevard Saint-Michel.
