Toastmasters is a nonprofit organization established 100 years ago in America, aimed at helping its members become comfortable with public speaking.

Participants will find that this is not the typical classroom Public Speaking course!

What is Toastmasters?

Toastmasters is a learning path focused on Public Speaking and Leadership, structured around the “learning by doing” approach, meaning LEARN BY DOING.

Like a gym, members practice through prepared speeches, impromptu talks, or by taking roles that facilitate the smooth operation of meetings and assist peers in continuous improvement.

The meetings are divided into three segments:

prepared speeches
impromptu speeches
evaluations

Additionally, there are six roles that members rotate to enhance learning:

The "Timer" keeps track of time to ensure speeches start and finish promptly;
The "Ah Counter" helps reduce filler words that may disrupt communication;
The "Grammarian" encourages correct and effective language use;
The "Evaluators" support members with valuable feedback to improve prepared speeches;
The "Table Topic Master" leads fun discussions for impromptu speaking practice;
The "Digital Appearance Master" provides tips on improving one's online presence during video calls.

It serves as a true training ground where club members challenge themselves to enhance their communication and leadership skills while having fun.

Toastmasters offers a structured journey, accompanied by a Mentor during initial projects and roles.

Each stage focuses on different aspects of Public Speaking and Leadership, building skills and confidence through each meeting!

Toastmasters Rimini Riviera has also introduced a fourth fun segment where meaningful connections and friendships are formed: the post-meeting lunch.
