WHAT’S A WALK?
The idea is straightforward: Up to three determined women engage in a fulfilling hour of walking and conversation along Nobby’s Breakwall with an inspiring female mentor. This setting fosters supportive discussions around career challenges, worries, and networking opportunities, suitable for individuals at any career stage.

It’s about empowering career dialogue: Participants connect with Newcastle's influential leaders, including prominent CEOs and executives who are committed to uplifting women in their professional journeys. This gathering of ambitious mentees creates a dynamic and motivating atmosphere.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Gaining clarity and making connections: The walk offers a chance to better understand future pathways and boost confidence towards meaningful achievements. Insights from accomplished mentors are shared in a relaxed manner, turning hurdles into opportunities. Additionally, attendees expand their networks by meeting like-minded women who share similar experiences, transforming connections into valuable relationships.

IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT THE WALK: Walks commence at 7:10 AM and wrap up around 8:30 AM. The fee is $33. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for walking. The group meets regardless of weather conditions, shifting to a nearby café if necessary. Ticket transfers and refunds can be handled up to 7 days in advance.
PREPARING FOR THE WALK: Participants will be paired with mentors and groups based on registration details. Reminders via email and text will be sent out as the walk approaches, including any updates regarding the weather.
ARRIVAL AT THE WALK: Upon arrival, Local Coordinators will assist with check-in and provide mentorship information. Mentees and mentors should engage with one another while waiting. A welcome session will occur at 7:20 AM, where Local Leaders introduce the mentors.
DURING THE WALK: The group reconvenes at 8:30 AM at the designated spot. Participants can either depart or stay for additional connections, sharing insights, and networking. It’s encouraged to document experiences and spread the word on social media.
WHEN CAN I JOIN AGAIN? The program is available in Newcastle six times a year, offering participants the chance to engage with different mentors and diverse groups each time. This allows for various perspectives and the opportunity to connect with more supportive women.
