This year, the celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception will take place in the heart of Gallura, specifically in Aratena, within the beautiful countryside and vineyards of Tenute Demontis, located in the municipality of Telti.
In Gallura, this day was traditionally referred to as Madonna di Scorraboi, reflecting the belief that work should be avoided on this day to prevent cattle from suffering misfortunes.
The gathering is set for 9:30 AM at the vineyard of Tenute Demontis on Via Aratena in Telti.
From there, participants will embark on a walk through the stunning countryside, with ancient cork oak forests and breathtaking rock formations shaped by natural elements over thousands of years.
The experienced guide, Giuseppe Deiana from ASD Nonsolotrekking, will lead the first part of the hike, culminating in a visit to a unique geological feature known as a "Conca fraicata."
In front of the impressive rock formation, attendees will hear insights and stories from blogger Daniele Pipitone (Un sardo in giro). Additionally, Matteo Sanna, the Tourism Councillor of the Municipality of Telti, will share his in-depth knowledge of the area.
After returning to the vineyard, the women of Tenute Demontis will present their wines among the rows of vines, while the music duo Simo&Sere will provide entertainment during lunch.
Participation fee is € 13.00, payable on-site.
Reservations will be available starting November 21. Pre-registration is mandatory.
It is recommended to wear suitable outdoor clothing and appropriate footwear for walking.
