The Bracara Augusta Foundation, in collaboration with several local institutions, has organized a series of Guided Tours focusing on Heritage. This initiative will explore various museological spaces in Braga, including Mamoa de Lamas, Fonte do Ídolo, D. Diogo de Sousa Archaeological Museum, Old School of Sé, Roman Baths of Alto da Cividade, Domus and Cloaca of the Former District Hostel I Lúcio Craveiro da Silva Library, and Pio XII Museum.
This cycle features seven guided visits to heritage sites, emphasizing the Pre-Roman and Roman periods. It aims to engage families and those interested in cultural heritage to learn about the historical legacy.
The story of Braga told through its archaeological treasures
During the visits, participants will have a unique opportunity to closely examine archaeological artifacts that document human settlement in the Braga area. The objects range from the Paleolithic era to the Early Middle Ages.
