Welcome Aboard Bus Tour

Individuals are invited to take part in a cultural exploration of downtown Iwakuni through the Welcome Aboard Bus tour. This guided experience is designed to assist new residents at the air station in understanding how to effectively utilize the local train and bus systems while immersing themselves in Japanese culture.
Participation in this tour is optional; however, registration is essential due to limited availability. It is important to register each member of the group participating in the tour.
Important Note: Servicemembers associated with MAG-12, MWSS-171, VMFA-242, VMGR-152, VMFA-121, MALS-12, or H&HS should enroll through their command's DRC/URC as part of the new Joint Onboarding Program. Duplicate registrations may prevent others from signing up.
As the tour will take participants into the city, it is advisable to carry a military ID and Japanese Yen, as not all establishments accept credit or debit cards.
Participants will receive a confirmation email after registering. If there is no confirmation email, they are encouraged to reach out to OMBIwakuniInformation.ReferralandRelocation@usmc-mccs.org to verify their registration.
