Dr. Henry Tsang, an alumnus of the University of Tokyo’s Nagasawa Yasushi Lab in Healthcare Facility Planning, and an associate professor at Athabasca University, will deliver insights into healthcare architecture in Canada. His work centers on IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility), health-centric design, and well-being in architectural practices, particularly for aging individuals and those with disabilities. Additionally, Dr. Tsang serves as the principal architect at HENRY TSANG ARCHITECT and is an appointed advisor to the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, focusing on Long-Term Care design. His involvement spans the creation of policies and program standards for promoting healthy, accessible environments, and he is known for designing commendable community-based projects.
