The Holiday Tree Lighting marks the beginning of the festive season, welcoming attendees to an engaging ceremony. Highlights include thrilling performances, a snowy wonderland featuring a beloved snow park, and a Santa village adorned with food stalls and souvenir vendors. Guests can enjoy the Tanuki Express train ride, capture memories at the Christmas Takeshi photo area, and admire the holiday tree illuminated by captivating pink sakura blossoms.
Registration for booths is available for Units, Private Organizations, and Home-Based Businesses.
- To participate, private organizations and home-based businesses must be registered at MCAS Iwakuni.
- A booth registration fee of $50 is required upon application.
- This fee covers the setup, usage, and takedown of a 10’ x 10’ tent, which includes one power outlet, two tables, two chairs, and necessary lighting.
- The Special Events staff may relocate organizations to optimize the use of available spaces.
- Participating organizations are required to take care of the provided equipment and ensure the cleanup of their booth areas after the ceremony.
- Units and private organizations must submit a fundraising request to the Station Judge Advocate. For food and drink sales, a food handling certification from the Navy Family Branch Clinic must accompany the fundraising request. Both the approved request and certification should be available for inspection during the event.
