On December 4, 2024, the Alberta Securities Commission will hold its eighth annual ASC Connect conference in downtown Calgary.

This conference will bring together hundreds of business leaders, industry experts, academics, and entrepreneurs to engage in discussions about important issues and emerging trends shaping the capital market in Alberta.

The agenda includes a range of thought-provoking topics under the theme ‘Fostering a thriving Alberta market’, featuring keynote speeches by prominent figures such as the Honourable Nate Horner, President of the Alberta Treasury Board and Minister of Finance.

More than 12 distinguished speakers will explore issues such as:

The vital role of innovation in diversifying Alberta's economy;
The effects of changes in capital formation and investor participation on economic growth;
Collaborative efforts by government, policymakers, and industry to enhance productivity in Canada;
The influence of artificial intelligence and machine learning on capital markets.
