Hallelujah! A popular Sing-Along of Handel's Messiah is returning, inviting everyone to participate. This renowned holiday piece is acclaimed for its stunning melodies, powerful choruses, and emotional solos. Participants can join a choir of 65 voices under the lively direction of Dr. Greg Caisley, accompanied by professional soloists and an orchestra.
Attendees will gather in the spacious sanctuary of Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church to enjoy selected choruses and solo highlights from this iconic masterpiece. All are welcome, regardless of their singing abilities, and scores will be provided for those who need them. Participants are encouraged to bring their own scores if available. The highlight includes singing the Hallelujah Chorus alongside a multitude of singers or simply enjoying the harmonious blend of voices in the sanctuary.
After the performance, delicious egg nog and mince tarts will be served!
Featured soloists include Dory Hayley (soprano) and David Rosborough (baritone).
General admission is priced at $30, with a special rate of $15 for youth aged 18 and under.
