One hour of discussions, books, and excellent coffee: each literary gathering features a different coffee selection! Before each presentation, Ditta Artigianale will provide a small tasting of various types of coffee, specially paired with each book.
On Thursday, December 5, Diletta Corsini and Lucrezia Giordano will present "Florence and Tuscany: The Wine Windows" (Edizioni BDV, 2021).
This presentation highlights a charming Florentine tradition through captivating stories: the wine windows, those mysterious little openings in historic buildings.
It will cover the history, fascinating facts, recent discoveries, and a gallery of images showcasing the 180 wine windows documented so far in Florence, along with an additional 100 still visible throughout Tuscany. This is a unique heritage tied to a wine commerce method established 500 years ago and ending in the mid-20th century, accompanied by numerous photographs and a detailed bibliography.
