The maternity unit at Hôpital de La Tour provides antenatal classes designed to assist couples throughout their pregnancy journey. The curriculum encompasses various subjects, including childbirth preparation, coping with labor, post-delivery self-care, and newborn care. Additionally, the classes feature physical exercise activities and a guided tour of the maternity unit.
It is important to note that one registration covers one couple. Participants will receive further details about the classes via a confirmation email.
Times
Classes are scheduled for the weekend at the following times:
Saturday: from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Sunday: from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Location
Meeting point: Building B11, in front of the main reception
Classes: 3rd floor, Department of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy, rue de Veyrot 39, 1217 Meyrin
Cost
The fee is 350 CHF, and an invoice will be issued after the classes. Basic health insurance typically covers up to 150 CHF of the total fee for childbirth-related classes. Participants are advised to consult their supplementary health insurance provider regarding coverage and any remaining costs.
Additional Information
Due to limited space availability, participants are requested to inform the maternity unit of any cancellations at least 24 hours in advance by emailing maternite@latour.ch. Otherwise, the full class fee will be charged.
