A Christmas Between Venice and Naples
The new musical journey by the Frau Musika orchestra, conducted by Andrea Marcon, unfolds across Venice, Rome, and Naples. It begins with the festive atmosphere of the "Concerto made for Christmas Night," composed by Corelli in Rome during the late 17th century. Following that, the expressive "Salve Regina," written around the 1730s by the talented Leonardo Leo, emerges from Naples.
Finally, the audience is transported to Venice with a delightful Oboe Concerto by Alessandro Marcello, a musician who pursued music for pleasure, alongside the renowned Antonio Vivaldi. The program includes the famous "Il Gardellino" Concerto and a serene motet that prompts reflection on the tragic imperfections of the world, relevant in both past and present times.
