The ASEAN region faces a critical challenge with plastic waste pollution, which has a profound impact on the environment and the livelihoods of its inhabitants. Various stakeholders have initiated both voluntary and mandatory measures aimed at curtailing plastic usage, although achieving effective circularity has yielded mixed results. The design and execution of policies and programs encounter numerous obstacles. In response, the Yunus Thailand Foundation collaborated with PXP Sustainability to conduct a thorough review of 100 interventions implemented throughout the ASEAN area. This gathering will unveil the study's findings and encourage a collaborative dialogue among diverse participants regarding strategies to enhance the circular economy for plastics in the region. Additionally, practitioners from Thailand will provide insights from their experiences in developing and executing strategies to combat plastic pollution, emphasizing valuable lessons for the formulation of a future global treaty on plastic pollution.
