UN Women Kazakhstan invites everyone to the Women in Music celebration, which serves as the culmination of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign this year. It highlights the importance of solidarity in combating violence against women.
Location: Almaty, 88 Abylaikhan ave. Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, E.Rakhmadiyev Grand Concert Hall.
Organizers: Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory; Crisis Centers Union in Kazakhstan ALE; Central Asian Alliance to End Gender-Based Violence, with support from the National Commission for Women's Affairs and Social and Demographic Policy under the President of the RK & UN Women Kazakhstan.
Agenda:
15.00 – 16.30. Panel discussion by the Central Asian Alliance to End Gender-Based Violence.
This session will feature HeForShe Central Asia advocates, opinion leaders, and influencers, fostering collaboration to end gender-based violence.
17.00 - 18.30. “Women in Music” concert
The concert will showcase performances by the talented student community of the Kurmangazy Music Conservatory, offering an evening of enchanting music and uplifting pieces by female composers.
