Important Notes
Attendees are required to bring a complete chef uniform from George Brown, non-slip steel-toed black safety shoes, and necessary tools for the class.
Prerequisites
Completion of the HOSF 9088 Culinary Arts 1 course, HOSF 9473 Culinary Arts 1 (Online) course, HOSF 9134 Baking Arts course, or HOSF 9461 Baking Arts (Online) course is necessary to participate.
About Lindsey Greflund
A talented chef, Lindsey Greflund, began her career as a sculptor, showcasing her artwork in various galleries across Toronto. As a way to draw attention, she offered her homemade pastries which received enthusiastic responses, ultimately leading her to pursue a career in baking. Lindsey graduated from George Brown College in 2006 with a diploma in Baking Pastry Arts and achieved her Red Seal pastry chef certification in 2013. She is passionate about sharing her baking skills, creating exquisite dishes for fine dining establishments and teaching culinary classes at George Brown College alongside other cooking schools. Recently, she has taken part in television and promotional work, representing George Brown at different events, participating in Food Network challenges, and competing in local chef competitions. Currently, she teaches while also working as a culinary producer for shows on Food Network Canada, such as The Great Chocolate Showdown and Project Bakeover. Chef Lindsey is dedicated to sweetening Toronto's culinary landscape.
