Presentation of the SIA Research Results
December 11, 2024, Rome | 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
At Palazzo Legacoop | Via Giuseppe Antonio Guattani, 9
The Social Impact Agenda (SIA) for Italy is pleased to showcase findings from the research “Renewable Energy Communities for Impact. Models and tools for impact investing in the just transition,” conducted with contributions from Amundi, Coopfond, CGM, and Intesa Sanpaolo, and developed with BIP in collaboration with AzzeroCO2, BonelliErede, ESTÀ, Kyoto Club
Renewable Energy Communities (REC) are emerging as promising laboratories not only for environmental sustainability supporting the green transition but also as vital centers for enhanced participation and potential multipliers of social impacts within local areas. This research explores how impact finance models and tools can support such a view of RECs, ensuring their long-term sustainability while maintaining their significant social generativity potential.
The research actively involved SIA's member base and key industry stakeholders, identifying and analyzing the most effective impact investment and financing solutions within the context of RECs, based on their technical-financial modeling.
What insights and calls to action emerged from this research? These will be revealed on Wednesday, December 11, in Rome, with discussions featuring policymakers and energy sector experts, local administrators, public and private financiers, and actors from both market and third sectors, aiming to initiate valuable experiments in Italian territories.
