This face-to-face communication workshop focuses on helping individuals master the creation of impactful campaigns through effective storytelling techniques and the appropriate use of communication platforms.
Participants will engage in interactive sessions that include real-life case studies and role-playing activities to simulate authentic scenarios.
This is an excellent opportunity for organizations aiming to enhance their voice, visibility, and influence. The training aims to bolster the presence and impact of participating organizations.
The workshop will be led by Kalando Wilmoth, who brings 20 years of experience in communications. Over the last decade, he has assisted businesses and NGOs in achieving their corporate and social impact objectives. He serves as the co-founder and co-CEO of Chaynge CO, a digital marketing and social impact communication agency.
His dedication to engaging companies in meaningful social issues led him to work with Project STAR, which is recognized as Jamaica’s largest initiative for private-sector-led community development. He significantly contributed to the launch of the country’s first social IPO, which garnered over $20 million in media attention and facilitated the acquisition of more than $45 million in corporate donations.
Kalando’s diverse background spans multiple sectors—education, healthcare, technology, transportation, publishing, manufacturing, and faith-based organizations—equipping him with a versatile skill set for crafting creative solutions across different fields.
In addition, as an adjunct lecturer at UWI’s CARIMAC, he is actively involved in guiding aspiring media professionals in their career development. Since 2023, he has also collaborated with CVSS to enhance communication and brand management skills among its members.
