In a world where still one in three women experiences violence, it is time to stand together and take action! This evening aims to send a clear message against violence towards women and girls – for a society free from discrimination and injustice.
The following keynote speakers have been invited to address the issue of (male) violence against women from different perspectives:
- Ursula Strauss | Singer, actress, Orange the World campaign ambassador
- Ali Mahlodji | Entrepreneur, author
- Therese Frank | Lawyer & Marcus Wadsak | ORF weather moderator
- Eva-Maria Burger | Head of the Department for Women and Family, AK Wien
The event will be moderated by Ö3 presenter Elke Rock.
The evening will feature musical accompaniment from the femchor and Ursula Strauss with Ernst Molden.
Afterward, there will be a buffet and networking opportunity.
The feminist artist Kinga Jakabffy has created the artwork "LAST SUPPER" for the campaign. Attendees will have the chance to purchase art prints of the subject both on-site and online. The proceeds will benefit international UN Women projects.
Is the gathering free of charge? Essentially yes, but voluntary donations are welcomed! All collected donations will support our international UN Women projects that aid women and girls worldwide. Every contribution, whether large or small, makes a difference.
